Purpose of the Job
· Act as “think tank” for senior management
· Identify growth opportunities and devise winning strategies at
corporate and business unit levels
· Develop management solutions for company-wide issues and
organizational capabilities
· Manage corporate projects portfolio (PMO); govern PMO process
(charter, implementation planning, tracking review); assume responsibility
for execution of strategic initiatives
Responsibilities of the Job
Corporate Strategy (JJMT China) and Strategic Project Management (PMO):
· Develop forward looking insight about market trends that shape future
strategies
· Corporate Strategy:
o Analyze external trends and key implications to overall MedTech industry
o Orchestrate management discussion to discuss evolving opportunities and
challenges, strategic agenda and formulate strategies
o Pioneer innovation strategies to sustain our leadership at the forefront of
the industry
o Shape enterprise agenda and define near-term and mid-to-long term
priorities; support achievement of corporate imperatives
· PMO: Lead project management efforts of prioritized strategic
initiatives. Mobilize enterprise resources to drive progress and deliverables.
Engage and influence leaders for change management and decision-making. Conduct
dashboard tracking to review progress and escalate critical issues.
Business Strategy:
· Generate external insight about market trends, competitive landscape,
market segmentation, customer insight and regulatory environment pertaining to
specific product platforms or franchises.
· Explore and assess adjacency market opportunities for expansion beyond
current product space.
· Identify and analyze emerging business opportunities. Partner closely
with commercial leaders to develop strategies to support growth agenda at BU or
franchise level.
· Act as PMO, driving end-to-end strategy development and implementation
for prioritized franchise / BU strategic initiatives.
· Support corporate strategy cascade and synchronization among
corporate, franchise and BU strategies.
Talent Management and Development:
· Coach and develop junior members of CD
