Key Tasks:

Cost analysis and support in the design-to-cost processes of projects from the areas of plastic components
Support and identification of cost potentials in the development and nomination processes
Cost optimization in concept development and preparation for top management and board level technology decisions
Establishing and conducting of design-to-cost processes with the development and with the main suppliers
Active support for the negotiations with the focus on the hardware concept and product cost
Benchmarking and active participation in hardware product cost workshops

Qualification and Skills:

Experience in the development and/or cost evaluations of plastic components in the automotive industry
Cost analysis/value engineering experience is an advantage
Knowledge and experience in the Chinese automotive market and local technologies
Experience in international project management
Mobility
Completed studies in the fields of engineering, automobile manufacturing or comparable studies
Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex issues at the interface of technology and business aspects
Pragmatism and solution orientation
Team spirit and enthusiasm for new technologies
Assertiveness and ability to work under pressure in a volatile environment
Min.of 5 years working experience in areas like automotive engineering, cost evaluation or automotive development
Chinese native
Business English spoken and written
German language skills are an advantage
