The Digital Insights Product Manager must have a deep knowledge of the business area, with intermediate understanding of data science and data engineering, as they will oversee data scientists, engineers, and analysts to drive outright model development. This individual should have an established understanding of data analytics and be able to scrutinize data quality to ensure effective model implementation. They must be capable of conceptualizing the modelling of business problems, and prioritizing implementations and improvements through the execution of product development methodology. This individual will act as the liaison between the commercial business leads and the tech organization for all efforts related to the algorithms, and will be responsible for surfacing feedback on algos through the Digital Insights Lead, back to the data scientists and data engineers, and the Global tribes responsible for model development. The Product Manager is also responsible for documentation of all features and descriptions of the algorithms integrated to aid in commercial team understanding and upskilling. They must be able to explain the models using an intermediate language between an “academic approach” and “corporate documentation”, so that it is easily interpretable by members of the technical team (scientists and engineers) and stakeholders within the commercial functions.
